It knows your taste
Twelve questions, answered once. No star ratings, no queue to maintain, no homework. Mark what you've already seen and it never comes back.
About us
Pickd tells you what to watch tonight. One pick, for everyone on the couch, on a service you already pay for.
Watching a good movie or show together is our favorite thing. It's how my family ends almost every day.
The problem was getting there. Twenty minutes of scrolling, three false starts, and half the time we'd just give up and go to bed. Or we'd finally commit to something and half of us didn't like it.
I kept thinking there had to be an app that just told us what to watch. So we built Pickd.
How it works
Twelve questions, answered once. No star ratings, no queue to maintain, no homework. Mark what you've already seen and it never comes back.
Just you, or a group of up to eight. Pickd reads the whole room instead of averaging it into something nobody wanted.
Every pick lands on a service you already pay for. Tell it your mood and your energy, and it opens the app that has it. Or look it up on the TV — now you know where it is.
The hard part
Recommending for one person is a solved problem. Recommending for four people with different taste, on four different subscriptions, at 9:40pm on a Tuesday is not.
That's the whole product. Everyone in the group answers for themselves once, and Pickd finds the thing the room will actually finish.
Pickd is in closed beta and free while we build it. We'd rather get the picks right for a small group of people than get them roughly right for everyone.
Free during beta. We'll email you once when it's your turn — nothing else.
